TrueBrodo Vegetable Bouillon – Gentle Relief for Upset Stomachs

A Natural Helper from the Kitchen
When your stomach is upset, animal proteins can be hard to digest and might worsen the symptoms of a stomach bug or gastrointestinal issues. This is a lesson I learned from my mother, and it’s wisdom deeply rooted in many traditions. That’s where our TrueBrodo Vegetable Bouillon comes into play – a light, plant-based base that soothes the stomach while being rich in nutrients.
Our vegetable bouillon isn’t just a great choice for times of discomfort; it’s also a delight for healthy food enthusiasts. Whether as a comforting soup or a refined flavor base, it adapts to your needs.
Recipe: Oatmeal Soup with TrueBrodo Vegetable Bouillon
This recipe is perfect for upset stomachs and equally enjoyable when your stomach is back to normal.
Ingredients:
-
1 heaped teaspoon (or more) of TrueBrodo Vegetable Bouillon
-
2 dl water
-
1 tablespoon of fine oat flakes
-
Optional: olive oil or butter, freshly ground pepper
Preparation:
-
Bring water and TrueBrodo Vegetable Bouillon to a boil in a small pot.
-
Stir in the oat flakes and let the soup simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
-
For acute stomach issues: Strain the soup through a coarse sieve so that only the liquid is consumed. The salt and natural starch in the oats help you recover quickly.
-
For gourmets: If your stomach allows, finish the soup with a drizzle of olive oil or a small knob of butter. Add freshly ground pepper to taste.
-
For a roasted flavor: Dry-roast the oat flakes in a pan before cooking them in the bouillon as described above.
Note: Once your stomach is stable again, the oat flakes can remain in the soup and be eaten – they provide valuable fiber and a nutty taste.
Tip: Once the symptoms of a stomach bug or upset stomach have subsided, chicken broth is the best choice to help you regain your strength.
Give it a try and experience the difference that natural flavors and high-quality ingredients can make.
